For me, this has been a place where I could share my experiences living with this “baffling and powerful” disease of addiction with others in all phases of recovery.
When I was referred, I was in the beginning stage of recovery and in the last stages of my disease with a heavy addiction to alchohol and prescription drugs. I was scared, lacked knowledge about living life clean and sober, and felt very alone. New Hope changed all of that for me. I found friendship, support, and terific information from people who had first had knowledge of this disease.
Going here was the first step on my journey to sobreity: From active addiction, to recovery. I am very greatful that one place would provide hope and inspiration to people like myself suffering from alcohol and drug addiction. I am proud to be an alumni.
